The Pre School Room
The main aim within our pre school group is to prepare your child for school. This is a daunting time for both parents and children, however by the time your child reaches nursery leaving age with the encouragement and advice from our pre school staff the children, mum’s and dads will all be ready to face the next step in their journey.

Foundation Phase

At Belle Vue Nursery we strongly believe that children learn
best through play. Staff use this theory to plan a wide range of
activities that are taught to your child using fun and exciting.

In our recent Estyn inspection (2011) it was reported that;

   -All children are enthusiastic, polite learners who enjoy learning and cooperate well with     other children and adults.

   -Outcomes from the parents questionaire reflect a high level of satisfaction with the     progress their children make.

   -The settings proprieter and managers work well together to promote a positive ethos and     culture where children, parents and staff feel valued and respected.

As education providers, children attending nursery will receive funding from Torfaen County Borough Council, the term after your child’s 3rd birthday.

Links with primary schools

When that time comes for your child to move on to school, we invite your child’s class teacher into nursery to meet your child and for staff to discuss their progress.
